Artificial hemoprotein nanotubes
Literature Information
Gang Lu, Eishun Tsuchida
Artificial hemoprotein nanotubes have been prepared by a layer-by-layer deposition technique with human serum albumin (HSA) incorporating the synthetic heme (FeP) [HSA–FeP] using an anodic porous alumina template; each of the liberated tubules has a very uniform outer/inner diameter and can reversibly bind dioxygen (O2) at 25 °C.
