A novel silver-catalyzed cascade radical cyclization of 2-(allyloxy)arylaldehydes with cyclopropanols was developed to synthesize carbonyl-containing alkyl-substituted chroman-4-one derivatives. This transformation is easy to conduct under mild oxidative conditions to generate two carbon–carbon bonds in a cascade radical sequence with a broad substrate scope.
