Abstract

Reaction of LnCl3 with KSeAr* in thf afforded the unsolvated, alkane-soluble complexes LnCl(SeAr*)2 (Ln = Nd, Pr; Ar* = 2,6-Trip2C6H3; Trip = 2,4,6-iPr3C6H2) in which the rare-earth metal cations show additional η6-π-coordination by two flanking arene rings.
