Abstract

Seventy percent of the ferrocene moieties in double-stranded polybisnorbornenes containing linearly aligned ferrocene linkers are oxidised and each of the neighbouring monomeric units in these polymers may strongly interact with each other; the oxidised form of 3c has been shown to be antiferromagnetic.
