Abstract

The 16e− derivative [Ru(η3-2-C3H4Me)(CO)(dppf)][SbF6] catalyzes: (i) the propargylic substitution reaction of 1,1-diphenyl-2-propyn-1-ol with alcohols to produce propargylic ethers, and (ii) the formal isomerization of 1,1-diphenyl-2-propyn-1-ol into 3,3-diphenyl-2-propenal.
