Abstract

(+)-cis-Nemorensic acid (1) was synthesized from a chiral Diels–Alder adduct (4) prepared by a catalytic enantioselective Diels–Alder reaction with 2,5-dimethylfuran and 2,2,2-trifluoroethyl acrylate.
