Abstract

Single crystals of Na8Pu2(O2)2(CO3)6·12H2O, exhibiting bridging μ2,η2-O2 ligands in unprecedented Pu(IV) dimeric units, were obtained at ambient temperature from an aqueous Pu(IV) peroxide carbonate solution.
