Microscopy Research and Technique
Basic Information
Microscopy Research and Technique (MRT) publishes articles on all aspects of advanced microscopy original architecture and methodologies with applications in the biological, clinical, chemical, and materials sciences. Original basic and applied research as well as technical papers dealing with the various subsets of microscopy are encouraged. MRT is the right form for those developing new microscopy methods or using the microscope to answer key questions in basic and applied research. MRT encourages the proposal of special issues and open access. MRT fosters the submission of educational papers. MRT is also the right journal for publishing selected papers from scientific conferences. It is expected that manuscripts submitted for consideration will have as main points of focus the microscopy approach and the scientific and technical value. Methods are expected to be discussed in a quantitative way considering the original aspects in microscopy. Authors are expected to employ proper statistics, present previously unpublished data, discuss whether the experiment has answered the proposed question, compare the results with those in salient published literature. The submission should be conform to MRT’s prescribed journal format and high quality images are expected to be proposed for the cover. Submissions that only support conclusions of discovery from other research fields should be submitted to journals specializing in those fields.
